Pre-ordering a physical copy
Both console versions are up for pre-order. Note what they actually are: Code in Box, meaning a physical box containing a download code, not a disc. The box ships to arrive November 12, the same day preload opens, and the code unlocks play on November 19.
If you would rather have the game sitting on your console the moment it unlocks with nothing to type in, buying digitally direct from the PlayStation or Xbox store does the same job. The box is for people who want something on the shelf.

Is GTA 6 delayed again?
No. As of today there is no announced delay past November 19, 2026. Rockstar set this date in November 2025, moving the game from its earlier May 26, 2026 target, and has stood behind it since, including in investor disclosures and in the launch trailer that ran on October 15, 2026.
Posts claiming a secret 2027 date circulate every few weeks. None have come with an official announcement attached. Until something appears on the Rockstar Newswire, the published date has not moved.
When can you preload GTA 6?
Preload opens November 12, 2026, one week before launch. On a game this size that is the difference between playing at unlock and watching a progress bar. Clear drive space before the 12th rather than on launch eve, and move anything you are running off an external drive early.
Is there a GTA 6 PC release date?
No. Rockstar has confirmed PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S for launch and has said nothing about PC timing. If the pattern from GTA V holds, PC arrives later as a visibly upgraded version. That is a pattern, not a promise.
What time does GTA 6 unlock?
Not announced. Rockstar has historically used midnight local time in most regions, but no official unlock hour has been stated for this launch.
Is GTA 6 Online a separate release?
No separate release date has been announced for an online mode. Everything official so far points at the single player launch on November 19.
